Rugs with no bugs

By Groshan Fabiola

Antique furniture is always well complemented with rugs. Rugs are a historic accent to any type of furniture, from dining room furniture to bedroom furniture. Rugs are steeped in history, especially when it comes to beautiful braided rugs. What better reason to seek out a braided area rug for a home than to accent modern furniture or to create an antique furniture feel. Furthermore, braided rugs are quickly making a comeback in homes all across the country, especially as the country, cottage, and cabin style is quickly becoming all the rage. There are many types of rugs that are guaranteed to hold up to all the abuse, wear, and tear that a family can throw its way.

Braided rugs are delightfully simple, which is why they are one of the best selling types of rugs. By choosing a braided area rug, anyone can easily incorporate all colors of an interior design palate. Someone can even use braided rugs to introduce a splash of accent color into the home. This is especially beneficial for accenting dining room furniture. Furthermore, these types of rugs are steeped in history and certainly appropriate for historic homes and are a lovely compliment to antique furniture. Antique dining room furniture will have a more elegant look when placed with any number of rugs.

One of the best things about braided rugs is the easy clean up. Many people use rugs as a means of decoration, and do not like the hassle of having to upkeep a rug, especially one that is under a lot of heavy antique furniture. Unlike other types of rugs that are too delicate to withstand a sturdy cleaning, many braided rugs allow a person to wash, brush, vacuum, and beat them without having to replace them at the end of the day. For this reason, braided rugs are incredibly popular in kitchens, utility rooms, laundry rooms, mud rooms, and any other rooms in the home that experience a great deal of traffic and messes.

Many people are getting into the contemporary furniture, and want a more cottage feel, so they look for the right rugs to make the look more complete. There is no better way to accent a home than with braided rugs, for any type of home. Braided rugs have been a staple in homes since the 1800s, when pioneer women began braiding scraps of otherwise unusable fabric into usable rugs to make their home and hearth more enjoyable. The manufacturing of such rugs is still in use today, using quality materials and techniques. For this reason, braided rugs are still incredibly popular for the current popular trend of country and cottage design.

One reason why braided rugs are so popular in kitchens is due to their incredible durability. Kitchens are incredibly difficult on flooring and types of throw rugs, so having a type of rug that can be washed and cleaned is essential. Braided rugs prove themselves to be as hard wearing as they are lovely, especially when used for kitchen furniture. Furthermore custom braided rugs are great for rooms that need an extra design element that ties in all patterns and colors used in the interior look. Choosing braided rugs for a home is an excellent choice for any room, but especially those that need a hard-wearing rug that adds color and texture to the rooms design.
