Are wool rugs better than synthetic rugs?

Answered By Zach Rasband

Synthetic rugs normally resist staining and are better in soil than wool rugs. However, wool gives an excellent resistance on stain especially if caught immediately.

Wools are available both in hand and machine-created rugs, but synthetic rugs are normally more affordable. Wool has a tendency to last longer than synthetic because the natural propensity of wool is to stretch and not to break.

Wools are also able to absorb dye very well which make a smooth appearance than synthetic.
