Berber Rugs For Your Home Decoration
A Berber rug is made from fiber that comes out of Africa, but it is also a rug that is always thought of as the top of the line one of the most elegant and longest lasting on the market. However, these Berber rugs have always had a reputation for being very difficult to clean. When Berber first came out it was made with wool, and these rugs were beautiful works of art that would look like handmade rugs.
This was the only fiber that was used to make a Berber for the longest time. And the process of how they made would make these fabulous rugs last extremely long. They are not cheap though, and that's why many people who found them extremely hard to keep clean. With the wool there would be natural shades in the weave which make these Berber rugs fantastic. It's hard to understand though why with so many different advances why Berbers still have this same cleaning myth tied to it.
The biggest thing that continues to haunt the Berber rugs is that they are hard to clean, even with all the advancements it is still thought of these rugs. Of course it will really depend on what fiber they have used to make the Berber rug. It's not really as hard to keep a Berber rug clean all you need to do is learn what steps to take. Keep it clean, don't let it go for several months without a cleaning either. Bad habits tend to make the job a bit harder.
The Berber rug is a highly durable rug that will last for years, with a way of constructing the rugs by looping the material in parallel lines. This type of weaving makes sure that footprints will not show up on the rug, and that cuts down on wear and tear, or at least you won't be able to see it as well. Depending on how many twists this shorter loop has in it will depend on how dense the Berber will be the more dense it is the harder it will be to get all the dirt out.
However this same property also makes it just as difficult for dirt to get into the carpet. The solution to keeping the rug clean is vacuum frequently without using a brush attachment. Make sure that you get the soil that is sitting up on top just waiting to be picked up before it ends up getting it's way worked down into the carpet making it difficult to remove. If you keep up with your Berber rug cleaning, this will make things so much easier on you whenever it comes time for a more intense cleaning.
Instead of wool they now use Olefin more to make Berber rugs. This material works better with getting the dirt out from deep inside the carpet and is resistant to a lot of chemicals. With the new Olefin being used these newer Berbers are even more stain resistant then they ever were.
If you found this information about area rug decorating useful, then you are bound to adore these grey rugs.
