What can I use for a rug instead of the ones with rubber backing?

Can you answer k~prez's question about rugs?:

I'm looking for rugs for my bathrooms and kitchen that don't have that rubber backing. I used that kind of rug and they stained my flooring. Any ideas or know where I can find rugs without that rubber backing on them?

Cotton first comes to mind then any of the other natural fiber rugs. Here's a link. Good luck!

You can pick up a small area rug in Homegoods, Marshalls, TJ Max or at a rug store that sells remnants.
