How can you prevent area rug from wrinkling when placed on top of a wall to wall carpet?
Can you answer chrys_folly's question about rugs?:
I have put a 10 x 12 jute back area rug on top of a low pile wall to wall carpet and it is wrinkling badly in two or three places. I put that rubber stuff underneath the area rug, but that really didn't do anything except keep the middle in place. Help! I paid 400 dollars for the stupid thing and it looked amazing at first but now it is horrible looking.

Why dont you get some self adhiesive velcro and stick it to the back of the rug and on the carpet then it wont move.
sound like the rubber stuff is for floors…check with were you bought the rug and buy the rug pad made for putting area rugs over carpets…it will be a fabric texture not rubber…double sided carpet tape may work in addition…if they sold you the rubber pad..then go to a different that sell only area rugs..they will forsure help you…
doublestick carpet tape
There are 2 types of those rubbery undermats. One is for rug on rug and the other is for rug on solid surface (hardwood, tile, laminate) I have a feeling you are using the wrong one. They are available at most hardware-type stores. Be sure to read the label!
